Illinois State NAACP Health Committee

On June 16, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the Peoria Branch NAACP Health Committee hosted the 5th Annual Peoria Branch NAACP Health Fair and Blood Drive. The event was co-sponsored by the American Red Cross and was held at Northwoods Mall located at 2200 West War Memorial Drive. The health fair and blood drive was open to the public to provide information to help individuals learn how to take charge of their health, as well as to encourage the community to help save lives by donating blood. Health information and free health screenings were also provided to promote lifestyle changes in order to fight disease and illnesses.
